Course outline

This dual program equips students with a deep understanding of the principles and practices of journalism, combined with studies in the fields of health, exercise and nutrition. Through the human movement and nutrition sciences program, students explore human movement and nutrition across the lifespan and discover the roles that food, physical activity, exercise and sleep play in our health, the prevention of chronic disease, and sporting performance. They develop the knowledge and skills to address two of the most important modifiable risk factors for chronic disease – physical activity and nutrition. With an in-depth understanding of the social, behavioural and biological sciences influencing health outcomes, students graduate ready to shape the global health conversation and make a real impact on the health of communities. This dual program will prepare you for a career in health journalism, sports journalism, communications, public relations and more.
